A Completely Different Lifestyle: Adrienne Manno of Feast
In the 64th episode of Perceived Value host Sarah Rachel Brown shares an interview that took place this past May in Philadelphia. Before the interview, your host gives an update on how her big shift to full-time freelancing has been going since that time. It’s only fair she shares about her own transition, right?
Today’s guest is Adrienne Manno, a Philadelphia creative whose brand Feast Sarah had admired and been following prior to connecting with Manno. The two Philadelphians sat down to discuss what brought Adrienne to Philadelphia, her background in apparel design, what holding a job for over 16 years entails, and what it’s like transitioning out of a role you’ve held for so long.
Feast was born out of the nostalgia of making.
Jewelry has always been a love-language used by Adrienne throughout her life, marking travel adventures and honoring family heirlooms.
Returning to work with her hands, she began sourcing and collecting materials, that in 2018, evolved into the brand.
Named after her favorite word, Feast, which signifies celebration and community, important themes for finding life’s connections.
Designing capsule collections each season gives Feast the freedom to grow and change, adapting to new inspirations.
Feast seeks to continue practicing sustainable methods in creating, by designing with new, deadstock, and up-cycled materials.
