A New Partnership, An Old Conversation: Crafting The Future
In August of 2020, host Sarah Rachel Brown interviewed artist Corey Pemberton. At that time Corey was settling into his role as the director of Crafting The Future, a nonprofit working to diversify the fields of art, craft and design by connecting BIPOC artists with opportunities that will help them thrive. In 2020, Crafting the Future received a significant influx of support as racial justice protests and calls to support BIPOC focused organizations were prevalent across the United States. In the two years since this recording took place, Crafting The Future has continued to grow its community of supporters and partnerships with Youth Arts Organizations across the country to provide their students with scholarships to renowned Craft schools and pre-college programs.
Perceived Value podcast is excited to be a partner of Crafting The Future .
What better way to celebrate than to re-release this insightful conversation with the director himself?
