Running the Family Business: Hilary Halstead Scott
In the 25th episode of Perceived Value host Sarah Rachel Brown interviews the president of Halstead, Hilary Halstead Scott, during her recent trip to Philadelphia. The two women sat down to discuss the history of the family-run business Halstead, the importance of business skills, and what exactly a marketing kit is.
Hilary Halstead Scott is the president and second generation to lead Halstead, a jewelry supply catalog and ecommerce business. Halstead supplies jewelry designers around the globe with chain, metals and findings for their studios. She is the founder of the Halstead Grant and a passionate advocate for bringing business skills to jewelers. She has an MBA, a Masters of International Management, and a lifetime of experience in the jewelry world. Together with the talented team at Halstead, Hilary works on many programs for jewelers including the Halstead Design Challenge with SNAG and other grassroots sponsorships to support the jewelry artist community at the local and regional level.
